CUEB and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Sign Inter-university MOU

On November 11th, President Wang Jiaqiong met Leonid A. Bragin, first vice-rector of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (PRUE), Asari Asarijef, director of PRUE Economic Department, and Serguy Kanavel, secretary general of Shanghai Cooperation Organization China Business Council (SOU CBC) in Bona Building. Preliminary consensuses on student exchanges, faculty exchanges and research cooperation were reached through friendly communication between the two parties. Participants also included Vice President Xu Fang and Sun Haozhe.

President Wang warmly welcomed the delegation of PURE and briefly introduced CUEB’s student education, discipline development and international development. He was glad to see cooperative ties with PURE and hoped that the two, both financial and economic universities with highly complementary strengths in discipline development and similar university management philosophies, could enhance cooperation and mutual learning in various areas. He also put forward that the two could start with cooperation in key research programs on the basis of further communication between related schools and departments, and then expand cooperative ties to faculty visiting and student exchanges.

Leonid A. Bragin conveyed thanks for CUEB’s hospitality and briefly introduced PURE. He mentioned that PURE, as one of key economic and trade universities in Russia, had always focused on and been dedicated to enhancing its teaching quality and research capability, and that the university was looking forward to further communication with CUEB and a visit by CUEB next year.
At the end of the meeting, Xu Fang and Sun Haozhe, on behalf of CUEB, signed the inter-university MOU with PURE and MOU with Secretariat of SCO CBC respectively.
