CUEB Volunteer Team

Established in 1995, CUEB volunteer team is directly led by the youth league committee as the only volunteer organization admitted by the university.

At present, the volunteer team already has 30 service branches. After years’ development, especially as a part of the Olympic Games Volunteer Service in 2008, the volunteer team wins acknowledgement and supports from the university and the public. In the meantime, CUEB volunteer team takes part in various kinds of activities, mainly including accompanying the ages, saving energy promoting, teaching in countryside and community services. During Beijing Olympic Games, the volunteer team made its own contribution as well. They offered translation service to the hottest tourist spots, such as Lao She Teahouse, Zhang Yiyuan, Nei Liansheng, Tong Rentang and Far East Hotel, which were all honorable Chinese brands with high reputation. In 2010, the team began to carry out another activity namedCaring empty-nesters. Teachers from the psychological service center for the elderly named Cun Cao Chun Hui were invited to carry out a training program in our university for more than a hundred volunteers selected from the campus. This training program aimed at improving the professional quality and the ability in psychological counseling of the volunteer team. After the ceremony, the volunteers began to carry out activities in more than ten communities. Since 2011, the team has established long-term cooperation with Auto Museum, National Centre for the Performing Arts and China Library for Visual Impairment and has offered volunteer service for thousands of times. In 2012, the team also provided volunteer service for CIFTIS, which has helped to build up a good image for the volunteers of CUEB.
